NatureHolic Proteinfeed Shrimp Food is a special protein food for shrimp with increased protein requirements, for example during growth, in breeding, and for shrimp such as Macrobrachium, which prefer carnivorous diets. Amano shrimp - especially the females - also require more protein than other dwarf shrimp species. NatureHolic Proteinfeed is also excellently suited for carnivorous and omnivorous crabs, for dwarf crayfish and crayfish. Also great for aquarium snails to build a robust protective layer on their calcareous shell.

If the shrimp offspring "don't thrive," a lack of important building materials in the females is often the reason - if the basis is not right, the eggs cannot develop properly. NatureHolic Proteinfeed provides everything female shrimp, crabs, and crayfish need for egg formation and high egg quality.

Nevertheless, the crude protein content is deliberately kept below 40%, so that molting problems due to excessive protein intake can be ruled out.

We deliberately do not use fishmeal and other inferior animal meals. The proteins and amino acids contained in Proteinfeed come exclusively from insects, plants, and Arctic krill. In addition to valuable proteins, insects and krill also contain nutritionally beneficial chitin, which shrimp and crayfish use for shell formation, as well as the molting and growth hormone ecdysone, which has a very positive effect on the growth, molting, fertility, and reproductive capacity of shrimp and crayfish.

To specifically prevent deficiency symptoms, we have incorporated our vitamin mix: Vitamin D3 for the calcium metabolism of shrimp, crayfish, and crabs as important support during molting, Vitamin A for the development of the hypodermis and eggs, to support the immune system, and especially as an antioxidant to protect against reactive molecules and bacteria, and Vitamin C, which is also an important antioxidant and is also needed for smooth molting.

Our proven mineral mix includes iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), and manganese (Mn), which are needed by shrimp as trace elements for the formation of a variety of important enzymes and can thus ensure smooth molting. In addition, trace elements are necessary for the formation of various hormones and for protein production and can thus support shrimp, crayfish, and crabs in normal growth.

The soft food pads sink immediately and are therefore available to the shrimp without delay. Our soft pads are significantly more water-stable than food paste, but we still recommend our special shrimp feeding dishes for serving.

Feeding recommendation: Feed 1-2 times daily as much as the animals consume in a few minutes. Feed sparingly, usually one 5mm pad is sufficient for 15-25 shrimp.
