The biologically valuable complete food NatureHolic Fanfeed Fan Shrimp Food is a finely ground powder food specifically for fan shrimp. It contains insects, valuable spirulina and salmon oil as sources of natural astaxanthin, high-quality proteins and important unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids - and our special mixture of particularly bioavailable mineral compounds from organic sources. Fanfeed is guaranteed free of fishmeal and other inferior animal meals.

The highly specialized fan shrimp live in nature in river sections with strong currents, where they cling to pebbles with their strong spiny legs and collect passing food with their fan-shaped forelegs. Stomach analyses of wild fan shrimp have shown that they naturally consume extremely protein-rich and energy-rich food. We take this into account with this food. The unusually high fat content of over 9% in NatureHolic Fanfeed is also adapted to the enormous energy requirements of current-loving fan shrimp.

The proteins it contains come from insects, plant sources and blue-green algae. Thanks to the insects it contains, Fanfeed contains nutritionally beneficial chitin, which supports shrimp during the molting process and also naturally contains the molting and growth hormone ecdysone. We use high-quality yeasts that naturally contain important minerals, vitamins and proteins. In addition to valuable protein, spirulina also contributes natural vitamins, minerals and secondary plant compounds, especially the natural carotenoid astaxanthin.

As with our other feed types, we also use a special mixture of trace elements from organic sources and important vitamins for Fanfeed: To specifically prevent deficiency symptoms, we have incorporated our vitamin mix: Vitamin D3 for the calcium metabolism of shrimp as important support during molting, Vitamin A for the formation of the hypodermis and eggs, to support the immune system and especially as an antioxidant to protect against reactive molecules and bacteria, and Vitamin C, which is also an important antioxidant and is also needed for smooth molting.
Our proven mineral mix provides iron (Fe), zinc (Zn) and manganese (Mn), which are needed as trace elements by shrimp for the formation of a variety of important enzymes and can thus ensure smooth molting. In addition, trace elements are necessary for the formation of various hormones such as the growth hormone ecdysone and for protein production and can thus support the shrimp in normal growth.

We recommend including our mineral feed Mineralfeed in your fan shrimp's feeding plan twice a week for targeted mineral supply.

Feeding recommendation: Feed 1-2 times a day as much as the animals consume in a few minutes. Feed sparingly.
